Instead of shipping samples to an outside lab, Mendon Animal Clinic can do various blood tests, pre-anesthetic bloodwork, and other testing on-site. This saves time for pets in need of an immediate diagnosis and treatment plan, and most importantly, you won’t have to wait around for results for an entire day. As a result, your pet will receive the diagnosis and necessary care more quickly.

The following tests are conducted in hospitals:

Chemistry Panels:

• Liver enzyme screening
• Pancreatic evaluation
• Renal (Kidney) profiles

Wellness screenings:

• Complete blood counts
• General chemistries
• Blood pressure
• Thyroid

Viral screenings:

• FelV, FIV in cats
• Vector-borne disease screening (Heartworm, Lyme, Anaplasma, Ehrlichia)

Although we provide a wide range of on-site tests, it is possible that your pet needs laboratory work that is outside the purview of our services. In some situations, we are pleased to submit bloodwork or other tests to a third-party lab, which will send us the results.
